KPMG UK is a leading provider of professional services, helping clients navigate the complex global landscape of tax, audit, and advisory services. With a robust footprint across the UK and a culture steeped in technological innovation, KPMG is at the forefront of digital transformation. As the tax landscape becomes increasingly data-driven, our Tax Technology practice plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between tax technical expertise and advanced digital solutions, helping multinational corporations optimize their operations and maintain compliance in an automated world.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to design and implement bespoke tax software solutions for clients.
  • Utilize data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL to automate manual reporting processes and deliver actionable insights.
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient technical configurations.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of tax technology platforms, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.
  • Support the integration of cloud-based applications within client digital ecosystems to improve data transparency.
  • Collaborate with tax specialists and software engineers to bridge the gap between technical design and tax legislation.
  • Participate in end-to-end project delivery, from initial diagnostic discovery to final client implementation and training.
  • Develop proficiency in modern programming languages or low-code platforms essential to modern digital tax workflows.

Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility

  • Applicants from any degree discipline are encouraged to apply, provided you possess a genuine interest in the intersection of finance, data, and technology.
  • You must hold (or be on track to achieve) a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in any subject.
  • Demonstrable analytical mindset and the ability to process complex datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Strong team-working skills, with an ability to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced hybrid working environments.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Resilience and problem-solving agility when faced with challenging project deadlines or changing business requirements.
  • Right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme without restriction (KPMG may sponsor visas where eligible).
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and the pursuit of formal qualifications.

Graduate Training, Rotations & Mentorship

Your 24-month structured journey begins with an intensive induction period designed to ground you in KPMG’s methodologies, ethics, and industry standards. Throughout the programme, you will undertake two or three rotational placements across different sectors within our Tax Technology practice. These rotations are designed to expose you to a variety of client challenges, ensuring you gain a holistic understanding of how technology interacts with global business strategy.

We are deeply invested in your technical and professional growth. You will be fully supported in obtaining relevant industry certifications, such as ATT, CTA, or specific technology-focused credentials like AWS Cloud Practitioner or data analytics certifications.
