We pride ourselves on engineering a safer future, and our commitment to early careers is second to none; we recognise that the next generation of graduates is essential to solving the complex, mission-critical challenges of tomorrow. As a Technology Consultant, you will be joining a culture that champions innovation, diversity of thought, and technical excellence, operating at the intersection of physical defence and digital security.

This graduate intake is pivotal to our strategy of digitising the defence landscape. You will join a cohort of high-potential individuals, working on projects that protect people and national security. From cloud transformation to advanced data analytics, your work will directly influence our operational capability. Our programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application, providing a secure foundation upon which to build a long-term, high-impact career within one of the UK’s most respected engineering and technology firms.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in three distinct 8-month rotations across Digital Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Data Engineering teams to broaden your technical and commercial expertise.
  • Collaborate with senior software architects and security consultants to design and deliver robust digital solutions for high-stakes government and commercial clients.
  • Utilise modern programming languages and data visualisation tools, including Python, SQL, AWS/Azure Cloud platforms, and Splunk, to solve complex technical problems.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders through regular project reporting, requirements gathering, and client-facing presentations to ensure technical delivery meets strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the research and development of emerging technologies, such as AI-driven threat detection and secure cloud infrastructure automation.
  • Participate in full-lifecycle project delivery, from initial requirement analysis and system architecture design through to testing, deployment, and ongoing technical support.
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks in existing workflows and suggesting innovative technical alternatives.

Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility

  • Possess, or be on track to achieve, a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in a STEM-related discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Data Science preferred).
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to break down complex technical information into digestible insights.
  • Show a genuine passion for digital innovation and a desire to work in the defence and national security sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Adaptability and a growth mindset, with the ability to navigate changing project priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to the programme duration, including the ability to relocate or travel between various UK project sites when required.
  • Must hold the Right to Work in the UK without sponsorship, and be eligible to obtain and maintain SC (Security Check) clearance.
