Join KPMG UK's Tax Technology Graduate Programme to merge financial advisory with digital innovation. Benefit from a 24-month rotation, full professional qualification support (ACA/CTA), and a competitive salary package in the heart of London.

About the Company & Graduate Programme

KPMG UK stands at the forefront of professional services, bridging the gap between complex financial regulation and cutting-edge digital transformation. As an industry-leading firm, our London office serves as a primary hub for global financial strategy, where we help clients navigate an increasingly volatile economic landscape through data-driven insights and technology-led solutions. Our commitment to early careers is woven into our corporate DNA, ensuring that graduates do not just join a firm, but embark on a transformative journey.

The Tax Technology Graduate Programme is pivotal to our ongoing mission to digitise the tax function. By merging traditional tax advisory with modern software engineering, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure, we are redefining how multinational organisations manage compliance and reporting. As a graduate entrant, you will be joining a high-performing cohort tasked with future-proofing the firm’s capabilities while developing your own expertise at the intersection of business, finance, and technology.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design and implement automated tax reporting solutions using advanced ERP systems and data visualisation tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Engage in rotational placements across diverse business units, including Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, and Global Mobility teams.
  • Apply agile project management methodologies to deliver client-facing technical projects, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and quality standards.
  • Utilise Python, SQL, and Alteryx to transform complex financial datasets into actionable strategic recommendations for major FTSE 100 clients.
  • Provide front-line support for the deployment of proprietary KPMG tax technology products, ensuring seamless integration into client workflows.
  • Participate in internal digital innovation hackathons aimed at creating novel solutions for emerging regulatory challenges.
  • Maintain robust documentation for all technical deliverables, ensuring full compliance with internal quality and risk management frameworks.

Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility

  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline (STEM, Finance, Business, or Humanities) with a minimum 2:1 prediction or classification.
  • A strong, demonstrable interest in the interplay between financial services and digital technology.
  • Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex numerical data into clear, concise narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams to solve intricate problems under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients from junior to C-suite levels.
  • Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK without restriction; visa sponsorship is available for successful international candidates on the Graduate Route.
  • A self-starter approach to continuous learning and professional development.

Graduate Training, Rotations & Mentorship

The 24-month programme is structured to provide a comprehensive view of the professional services ecosystem. Through our rotation system, you will spend time across different practice areas, gaining hands-on exposure to how technology impacts client outcomes. You will receive extensive support as you work towards formal professional qualifications, such as the ACA (ICAEW), CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor), or equivalent cloud certifications (AWS/Azure), with all examination fees and study leave covered by the firm.

You will be paired with a dedicated 'Buddy' from your first day—a recent graduate who has successfully navigated the programme—and a senior mentor who will guide your long-term career trajectory. This multi-layered support system ensures that you are constantly challenged while having the safety net to explore your interests and find your professional niche within the firm.

Salary, Bonus & Benefits Package

  • Competitive base salary of £36,500 per annum, with annual performance-based pay reviews.
  • Sign-on bonus of £2,000 for all successful graduate intakes.
  • Generous pension scheme with an employer match up to 8%.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus the option to buy or sell additional days.
  • Private medical insurance and comprehensive mental health support services.
