About the Company & Graduate Programme

Rolls-Royce is a global pioneer in power and propulsion systems, delivering cutting-edge technologies that connect, power, and protect society. From powering commercial aviation and defense capability to pioneering clean nuclear energy through Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), our commitment to reaching net-zero carbon operations drives everything we do. Our UK presence spans key innovation hubs, with our strategic London office serving as a critical nerve center for digital transformation, corporate strategy, sustainability, and high-level enterprise engineering solutions.

Our early careers programmes are fundamental to sustaining our heritage of engineering and technological excellence. As a Graduate Systems & Digital Innovation Analyst, you will enter a high-impact intake designed to fast-track your technical expertise and commercial acumen. Joining us at this pivotal point in our net-zero transformation means you will directly contribute to sustainable power systems, digital twin architectures, and next-generation aerospace solutions that redefine modern industry.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in four strategic 6-month rotations across Digital Systems, Advanced Data Analytics, Sustainability Engineering, and Enterprise Technology.
  • Harness modern technologies—including Python, R, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, PowerBI, and Digital Twin frameworks—to solve complex engineering and operational challenges.
  • Develop, test, and deploy predictive data models and algorithmic tools to optimize engine health monitoring and global fleet maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and business intelligence teams to design sustainable software architectures and IoT-enabled asset monitoring solutions.
  • Engage regularly with senior executive leadership, delivering technical presentations and data-driven recommendations that inform core business strategy.
  • Support civil aerospace and defense customer operations by evaluating operational data to improve fuel efficiency and lower enterprise carbon emissions.
  • Drive process automation across legacy infrastructure, using agile product management techniques to streamline workflow efficiencies.

Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility

  • Achieved or working towards a 2:1 degree or above in any STEM discipline, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Economics.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with a proven knack for structured problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated proficiency or enthusiasm for digital tools, software environments, or data analysis platforms (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical business partners.
  • Adaptable mindset, thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional agile project environments.
  • Proven track record of team collaboration, whether through university projects, leadership roles, work experience, or extracurricular pursuits.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK; visa sponsorship is available for qualifying candidates meeting standard UK Home Office entry criteria.

Graduate Training, Rotations & Mentorship

This structured 24-month programme combines hands-on operational delivery with extensive professional training tailored to your career ambitions. Through four dynamic placements across our London and UK network, you will gain comprehensive exposure to end-to-end technology delivery, systems architecture, and business consulting. Each rotation is structured to increase your technical authority and management skills, preparing you for key leadership or technical specialist roles upon completion.

To ensure your holistic development, you will receive full financial and study leave support towards professional accreditations such as Chartered Engineer (CEng via the IET/IMechE), Chartered IT Professional (CITP via the BCS), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. From day one, you will be paired with a senior leader mentor for career guidance, alongside a peer 'buddy' from a previous graduate cohort to help you seamlessly navigate your transition into Rolls-Royce.
