What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within cross-functional squads to design and implement 5G network performance monitoring tools.
- Analyse large-scale datasets from IoT sensors to derive actionable business intelligence for enterprise clients.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to present project status updates and technical proposals regarding infrastructure rollout.
- Work with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerisation technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) to deploy scalable solutions.
- Support the lifecycle of 5G projects, from initial R&D and proof-of-concept testing to wide-scale deployment across urban hubs.
- Automate network configuration tasks using Python, scripting, or CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in technical deep-dives and root-cause analysis sessions to resolve complex network latency issues.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate technical requirements into user-focused digital solutions.
Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility
- Degree discipline: We welcome applications from STEM subjects (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Maths, Physics) or Business/Economics graduates with a strong passion for tech.
- Minimum academic achievement: You must have achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher.
- A highly analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable, logical components.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse, agile team environments, communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
- Resilience and a proactive 'growth mindset'—we value individuals who are not afraid to test, fail, learn, and iterate quickly.

- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or R) is highly desirable but not mandatory if you possess a strong aptitude for learning new tech stacks.
Graduate Training, Rotations & Mentorship
Our 24-month programme is structured around four 6-month rotational placements across our Network Engineering, Cloud Operations, IoT Business, and Cyber Security departments. This breadth of experience ensures you gain a holistic understanding of the telecommunications value chain. Alongside your day-to-day role, you will be enrolled in our professional certification pathway, with full funding and time allocation provided for industry-recognised qualifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA, or project management certifications like PRINCE2 or Agile Scrum Master.
To ensure you are fully supported, you will be assigned a 'Buddy' from the previous year’s graduate intake to help you navigate your first few months, and a Senior Mentor who will guide your long-term career progression and leadership development. Regular 'Lunch and Learn' sessions with executive leaders, dedicated networking events, and access to our global 'Discover' internal learning platform ensure that you are consistently upskilling and building the relationships necessary for a long-term career within Vodafone.
Salary, Bonus & Benefits Package
- Competitive base salary of £36,000 per annum, with potential for salary adjustment after year 1.
