Launch your career at the cutting edge of finance and technology with KPMG's 24-month Tax Technology Graduate Scheme. This programme offers professional qualification support, rotational placements in London, and the opportunity to lead digital transformation for industry-leading clients.

About the Company & Graduate Programme

KPMG UK is one of the world's leading professional services firms, providing audit, tax, and advisory services to many of the most successful organisations globally. Our London office serves as the epicentre of our digital transformation efforts, where we combine deep tax expertise with cutting-edge technology to solve complex business problems for our clients. By joining our Tax Technology graduate programme, you are stepping into a pivotal role at the intersection of finance, data analytics, and software innovation.

Our commitment to early careers is industry-leading, reflecting our belief that diverse perspectives are the bedrock of future success. You will work within a collaborative, inclusive environment that fosters continuous professional development and intellectual curiosity. This intake is specifically designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders who can bridge the gap between traditional tax compliance and the modern, data-driven digital ecosystem, ensuring KPMG remains at the forefront of the global financial sector.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate tax-specific software solutions into client business processes.
  • Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify inefficiencies in tax reporting, proposing automated solutions using tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders to understand operational pain points and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Assist in the delivery of digital transformation projects, including cloud-based ERP migrations (e.g., SAP, Oracle) from a tax-impact perspective.
  • Support the maintenance and testing of proprietary tax technology products, ensuring compliance with evolving HMRC digital mandates.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings to demonstrate the value of automation and the reduction of manual error through tech adoption.
  • Assist in the architectural design of automated workflows that bridge the gap between financial ledgers and tax filing systems.

Who We Are Looking For & Candidate Eligibility

  • A degree in any discipline (STEM, Business, Accounting, or Humanities) with a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree classification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning new software and coding languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or VBA).
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, changing project environment.
  • Right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme without restriction.
  • Curiosity about the intersection of financial regulation and digital transformation.

Graduate Training, Rotations & Mentorship

Our 24-month structured graduate scheme is designed to provide you with a holistic understanding of the firm. You will rotate across various specialized teams, including Global Compliance Management Services, Tax Technology Consulting, and Managed Services. Each rotation offers exposure to different industries, ensuring that you build a versatile skill set that is both broad and deep. Throughout the programme, you will receive full sponsorship and study leave for professional qualifications such as the ACA, CTA, or relevant digital certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Beyond formal training, we pride ourselves on our mentorship culture. Every graduate is paired with a dedicated 'buddy' from the previous year’s intake for day-to-day guidance, as well as a senior manager mentor who oversees your long-term career progression and development goals. This robust support structure ensures you have access to a network of professionals committed to your success, providing a safe space to ask questions, challenge your thinking, and grow your internal influence.
